Copplestone United Show Well in Cup and League
Most of our Copplestone United teams are doing well and are having a good season. After last year’s highs and lows, the Club continues to grow with great reviews on its style of football and the sportsmanship and welcome received when playing teams home and away.
Our new youngest stars U9, Copplestone Hawks, have played a few games on Sundays with various rounds of matches planned throughout the rest of the season playing games in Crediton, Okehampton, Chagford, Hatherleigh and North Tawton.

U11 Copplestone Tigers continue to play their home matches at Yeoford and have had a great start winning the majority of their games and have reached the semi finals of the Exeter Youth League U11 Cup.

U15 Copplestone Rangers have had a mixed start to the season with two wins and some defeats. With additions to their squad of players, improvements are beginning to show.
With the Exeter Youth Football League ever increasing in size and the quality of teams from all over Devon improving each season, all our clubs entered in this League, at all age groups, are enjoying the experience and have showed a good account of themselves.
The Club continues to attract players from all over the area from various schools. With its success and growth come problems but the Copplestone United Committee have risen to these challenges and the Club continues to push on.
Copplestone United have again been invited to play in the St Boniface Cup Tournament held in Dokkum Holland in May and are looking to enter an U13 and U14 team. This will again give the Club a chance to show itself to other countries internationally.
We continue to look for parents to come on board and help in the growth and various aspects of the Club, be it on the committee, assisting with running a team or helping to arrange Club activities. With additional help the Club can continue to give its players a better footballing experience.
Copplestone United continue to invite even younger players to its Club with 5 to 8 year olds training on a Saturday morning 10 till 11:15am. Over the past seasons this age group have been coached ready for competitive football matches with the Club.
Our club continues to flourish and improve thanks to its players, coaches, Parents/Carers and Committee members. It has and continues to be a tough job running a successful club but the rewards are great to see how much enjoyment our children get from it. This season again pushes our club to new areas with this season great results in local league competitions.
